Founder and Director
Rodrigo has more than 17 years of experience in “crowding-in” private capital into sustainable investment. As a consultant he developed methodological frameworks to access carbon finance and allow the registration of 950 ktonCO2/year of emissions reductions from different geographical regions. As a program officer for the Chilean Government, Rodrigo allocated financial incentives to encourage a nascent portfolio of more than 150 renewable energy projects. As Director of Government Affairs for Latin America at First Solar, Rodrigo confronted regulatory rigidities threatening the proper implementation of carbon pricing instruments and was board member of the Chilean Association of Renewable Energy (ACERA). As founder and CEO of ImplementaSur, Rodrigo works with multilateral development banks, government agencies, UN Agencies and global corporations to provide with innovative business model and financial mechanisms to mobilize new sources of funding for green investments.
